I actually told a big fib in my first post. I didn't put all the weight back on after the holiday, I was 16stone 1lb before the holiday slimming!
I have been steadily putting on weight since I left home at 18. I blame the vast increase in takeaways when I first moved out, and complacency once I met Paddy. I am comfortable, and it shows.
Don't get me wrong, I am not obsessed with how I look. I would just prefer to be more like I was five years ago. I could be a bit healthier.
Last year, I managed to lose some for our holiday, but it's all gone back on, and I have noticed my trousers (which are already bigger than I would like) are getting tight. Something must be done.
So, the plan is not to diet but to eat more sensibly, smaller portions, less snacking. More filling snacks. I don't eat a lot of chocolate, but I do eat a lot of crisps. Not any more. I'm going to do some more exercise, take the dogs out more often and walk more. I might (just might) start running when I'm feeling a bit fitter.
I will blog what I eat. Not weights etc, just general stuff. I will blog my daily exercise. I will blog my weight. That last one is the thing that will motivate me. If I tell the world (well, the small part of the world that looks at this blog) how heavy I am, then it might kick me into action.
Here goes! Wish me luck, and shout at me if I don't keep this up.
